Financial Arrangements and Fees

We are committed to providing high quality as well as value for money within our comprehensive and caring service. The fees charged are dependent on the type of facility required, the type of care package and needs of the individual resident. These presently range from £590 -£650 per week, if paid monthly in advance by standing order. Fees are generally reviewed for 1 APRIL each year.

It is now possible to buy an annuity to fix the cost of care at the outset and ensure that the resident will always be able pay for their care AND retain substantial funds under their own enduring control. Such an arrangement is regulated by the FSA and independent financial advice should always be sought. “Help the Aged” and “Age Concern” as well as Peregrine House if requested can put you in touch with some of these companies.

We will negotiate with the County Council and with relatives for those potential residents who are to be supported by the County Council. The current government rules for supporting residents can be complicated and specific advice is available from the home manager as well as from independent sources such as "Help the Aged", "Age Concern" and others.
